Here are initiatives
that the Libertarian Party of Georgia either endorses or has
begun in an effort to reduce the size of government, increase
individual liberty, and defend the freedoms our Constitution
defines.
Defend your right to Vote!
In 1998, 29 out of 56 Senators (52%) and 107 out of 180
Representatives (59%) were elected to the Georgia General Assembly
with no opposition on the ballot. In 2000, things went
from bad to worse -- 30 Senators (54%) and 121 Representatives
(67%) ran unopposed.
That's right. Over half of the state Senators
and two thirds of the state Representatives were alone on the
ballot. When Georgians go to the polls in the future, the Libertarian Party of Georgia wants all 4.5 million
of them to have a Libertarian choice in these races.
