Georgia Elections – Libertarian Party offers third choice for Governor

Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Dr. Andrew Hunt will offer Georgia voters a real choice on the November 4, 2014 ballot. A recent poll shows Hunt at 9 percent just weeks before the other two parties pick their nominees on May 20th. By law, the Libertarian Party must nominate its candidates in convention. The Georgia convention was held March 8th.

Andrew-Hunt_0Dr. Andrew Hunt received a B.S. in Geology from Auburn University, a Master’s Degree in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines, and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He received the SAIC award for best Ph.D. paper at Georgia Tech, which was based on his doctoral thesis on Combustion Chemical Vapor Deposition.  Andrew was selected for the National Academy of Engineering’s (NAE) Frontiers of Engineering Symposium and the German-US joint meeting.  He has served on a board at the National Academies, on Georgia Tech’s External Advisory Board as Chairman for the School of Materials Science and Engineering and the College of Engineering, and as Trustee of the Alumni Association.

Andrew’s parents founded the first Montessori school in Georgia where the love of learning and independence was instilled in children. He is determined to further this vision for excellence in education.

Andrew is passionate about reducing unemployment; attracting new high-tech job opportunities to Georgia; and standing up for freedom, equality, free enterprise and truth.

Dr. Andrew Hunt lives in Atlanta with his wife and their two young children and is proud of his three older children who are attending Georgia public universities.
